There's light at the end of the road...

One of the best birthday messages I recieved this year, unfortunately sent to me by a social networking site n not any friends...was something that got me thinking...
"
Happy Birthday Anindita,

Why not seize the day to check out how your life is going? Rethink your errors and remember your successes, forgive yourself for your failures and take pride in your achievements. And remember that these errors, successes, failures and achievements are your story, the story of your life.
And for this reason they should all be equally valued. Without them, you would not be who you are today.
We would like to wish you lots of peace, health, happiness and, of course, lots of love.
Happy Birthday!
Best regards,"

23rd March......Part 1

The day after tomorrow is my birthday…But the over the years I have lost the pleasure of celebrating my birthday…In the yester years birthdays were very special days meant to be celebrated with friends, a day when you went to school wearing your birthday dress, you distributed sweets among your friends and in evening you had a party with your friends who came with wonderful presents …πŸ˜€…hmmm…presents….πŸ˜‹… how much I wish I could go back to my childhood…its an altogether different matter that most of my friends claim I am still a child…hehe…good for me…I get to stay younger than others.

23rd March......Part 2

Anyway…I always thought that 23rd March is a very special day…I already knew two of the reasons why its special...it’s the great freedom fighter Bhagat Singh’s death anniversary and...its my birthday!…come on😊! But I was craving for more…so I googled 23rd March…n guess what I found…? 23rd March is World Meteorological Organization Day…though all my life I have been a science student...I was never aware such a day existed… it can be my pure ignorance…or blame it on our education system where gobbling up the text book is the only learning process recommended and having practical knowledge was never given its due importance...But nevertheless I love my school...:)

Jaago Re.....! Part 2

Anyway, now lets come to my problem…I am well over 18…n for the last few years, my family and of late me, we are trying to get ourselves registered for voting (we earlier used to stay somewhere else…so my parents are registered there…) but our efforts went in vain. For some reason they always misplace our papers…n then we are again asked to fill another form…same is the case with others in our housing

Jagoo Re!

Nowadays the first thing that stares out at you when you open the morning newspaper is the upcoming election trivia…everyone urges you to vote…gives out reasons why you should vote…where you should get yourself registered et al…But are these people so sure all this is going to make a difference? At the end of the day you have to choose one of those corrupt leaders…because every damn neta is corrupt…n those who are not are never allowed to stay in the system…there is an acute scarcity of young leaders and even those leaders are nowadays neck deep in controversies…whom to vote for, whom to support …we don’t know…all we want is our leaders should love their ‘dharti’ ..n not their ‘kursi’… Every year during the election season leaders come to our doorstep…begging for our votes…but even while begging…they threaten us to ‘speak in marathi…otherwise’… I thought all this fuss n all was for OUR country…when did I turn a foreigner in my own land…….? Under the present scenario…the thought ‘Unity in Diversity’ seems like a big joke..
