There's light at the end of the road...

One of the best birthday messages I recieved this year, unfortunately sent to me by a social networking site n not any friends...was something that got me thinking...
"
Happy Birthday Anindita,

Why not seize the day to check out how your life is going? Rethink your errors and remember your successes, forgive yourself for your failures and take pride in your achievements. And remember that these errors, successes, failures and achievements are your story, the story of your life.
And for this reason they should all be equally valued. Without them, you would not be who you are today.
We would like to wish you lots of peace, health, happiness and, of course, lots of love.
Happy Birthday!
Best regards,"

Over the years i have lost one thing quite unintentionally...and that is the ability to forgive myself for the mistakes i commit...in today's cut-throat competitive world there is no room for mistakes...everything has to be perfect....but in the process we have forgotten that we are human...that not everything can be perfect all the time...n it is by falling that we learn how to safeguard ourselves n not to fall...thats the irony of life...strange but true...
So henceforth i will try n forgive myself for all that i did to myself...
no matter what happens to us..we must never give up hope...because hope can do wonders...
We must remember that "There's always light at the end of the road..."

After all...its my story...the day i succeed...these failures are what will make my story interesting as well as inspiring...But,until then...searching for that light at the end of the road...

  1. Tend to agree with you to some extent only.

But then, everybody who is successful is not perfect. It is their undying spirit to achieve perfection that brings them success. They wish to themselves that they never reach the end of the road. They just know that they are on the right road.

Do you think that the above message was sent only to you by the networking site out of compassion? In the troughs of life, who will stand alongside you, networking site? Do you think that all successful people would have received messages like this from their well wishers? Do successful people expect anything (at all!) from their well wishers?

Just trying to give some food for your thoughts. Hope should never be a reason to explain failures.

Btw, I am no Bill Gates myself but I don't hate my image in the mirror either.
